Epidemiological Findings on The Preventive Treatment of Osteoarthritis (Glucosamine Chondroitin, and Other Nutrients
(3 hours)

Sunday November 28th

As a practitioner you use your hands in your everyday work. You are most likely also involved in various activities that involve the function of various articular joints like your knees and elbows. Increase your knowledge of articular joint deterioration during this session. Information learned is of great value to all dental team members as well as your patients.

Clinical trials have demonstrated startling results on the effect of glucosamine and chondroitin on cartilage health and protection. These findings suggest that osteo-arthritis should no longer be seen as an inevitable effect of aging but may be preventable with dietary supplementation. This two-hour session will provide an in-depth look at the issues related to osteo-arthritis as well as cartilage health. An overview of currently utilized therapies will be offered and a new paradigm of treatment will be presented. Extensive research studies demonstrating efficacy will be presented and discussed.

In this session you will receive nutrition information brochures so that you can share this information with your patients.
